Apotheca is a great multi-effect unit, a real engineering feat. The plug-in has hundreds of effects, graphs, and a drag-and-drop interface…
But from a user’s perspective, Apotheca lacked the modern design we see in the competitive audio market.
On release day, a customer went so far as to comment, “Nice interface, looks like it was made in the 90s.”
We listen.
So, we spent a good part of the latter half of the year reworking Apotheca.
Early next year we are releasing Apotheca V2. Apotheca V2 comes with a sequencer, new modes, and a new modern look that engages you, but doesn’t distract you from getting down to business.

Our second release was Visage, which got the company on the map. When Visage was released, we saw thousands of downloads during the launch weekend.
Yet, some users were finding it difficult to install Visage. So, with hundreds of e-mails coming in weekly, we took to working the front lines and started troubleshooting install issues, so…

Then it happened, in July, we had our first big victory as Gooey released The Snake.
Everyone loves The Snake.
YouTubers started playing with The Snake live on their video streams, well-known producers were putting The Snake in their productions, and The Snake became a huge part of Gooey’s history.

As we finished out this year, we started to build out the Gooey portfolio by launching the Add-Ons series.
Add-Ons are bespoke, quirky, lightweight plug-ins which get the job done.
