This is not a reverb.

This is control.

Control was designed by modeling various feedback delay networks to capture the right amount of diffusion in a warped, but cohesive way.

When you turn up Control, the signal morphs from reflective and dispersed to howls and screams.

Example 01: Progressive Diffusion.

Twisted by design.

Instead of feeding delay lines into a network to create another reverb, we placed diode limiters in each feedback line, so a brilliant, harsh distortion could creep through in new and creative ways.

The ultimate meltdown.

As soon as Control crosses the halfway mark on the feedback slider, energy starts accumulating, oscillators start warping, and an unpredictable chaotic sound emerges.

Tuned and tested.

To ensure a high-resolution signal, all cheap techniques, which cut corners, were left behind for refined and precise calculations. No fractional delays were permitted in the engineering of Control, unless absolutely necessary.

Not based off of another traditional formula.

The diffuse topology was preserved in a FDN (feedback delay network) by using prime-specific delay lengths to fracture frequencies, but the feedback lines were obfuscated to create infinite feedback loops.

Example 02: Goblins.

Just a big thank you to the people at Gooey.

Bought the Control Add-On. Sounds great, and it’s a lot of fun so far.
