The story so far
My name is David Pynes, and I am the owner and creator of Gooey, and this is my story.
For years I worked harnessing my skills as an audio software engineer, and even though I was dedicated to my work, I was mislabeled as a dreamer.
After building a synthesizer I applied for a job on the other side of the world.
I was given a few coding assignments to see if I actually knew what I was doing, and I passed their tests and got the offer.
So, I made it official, packed my bags, and traveled from the beaches of southern California to New Zealand to be a software engineer.
However, by this time, the job title was of no service to me, because I had already done the work to make it on my own.
So after that year, I went into hiding on the beaches of New Zealand and started working like I had never worked before.
I spent day and night applying my knowledge of interpopulation, oversampling, and convolving arrays to create something remarkable. I knew what I was doing, and I was doing it well.

When I returned to California, I rented a condo in Joshua Tree and spent the hot desert nights staring into the stars as I refactored modules, created a UI, and eliminated bugs that stood in my way.
Then I gathered my things, harvested my code, and prepared for the harsh winter, in the political capital of the USA, Washington D.C.
The time had come to unveil my work for the people.
