Albatross is a color machine that seamlessly blends vintage character with digital innovation.
Each of its fifteen effects is designed to give you the best of both worlds—faithful analog warmth alongside modern algorithmic innovation.
Take the flanger, for example. Albatross has both Analog and Digital modes. In Digital mode, the flanger delivers a jet-like Doppler swoosh. Switch to Analog mode, and it transforms into a Leslie-inspired flanger, darker and more organic swirling.
The Tape mode introduces the subtle wobble and flutter of an old tape deck, complete with the instability of a worn playhead. But Albatross adds a modern twist: an optional random-number generator can introduce a more unpredictable, digitally generated variation of flutter.
There’s also a Vinyl noise generator that can duck with or against your track, a Retro Reverb using impulses to recreate classic rooms, and a wide range of other effects for shaping tone, texture, and color.
The Delay mode continues the Albatross philosophy. In vintage Tape mode, every repeat is colored with subtle wow and flutter. Switch to Ghost mode, however, and the delay line reverses itself in real time, creating haunting reflections and ghostly echoes.
With a wide collection of presets, ranging from subtle chorusing and vintage tape coloration to lush, bold experimental soundscapes that explore ghosting, reverberation, and everything in between, Albatross gives you the tools to color your sound with a romantic blend of the analog past and the digital future.
