This was once Next.
Oftentimes, it starts with an idea.
How does it work?
What does it do?
Who will use it?
What’s it’s name?
What can it do for me?
When it came to designing Next, we knew the basic concept.
But that was just the start of the journey.
By listening to each other, we knew it would be relevant to add input and output controls. We also knew we wanted to differentiate from generic trance gates, so we added triplets and swing controls, and finally, we noticed that oftentimes, trance gating is used in conjunction with panning. So, we added step panning in there as well.
But we didn’t know where it was going, or how it would end.
There’s a lot of destruction when creating something new.
But the more time we spent putting the pieces together…
…the closer we got….
To making something complete.
