TALKIE

INTRODUCTION:

This simple plug-in has a lot to offer. The formant filters are tuned to articulate vowel-like sounds, which morph between vowels. To morph between vowels, you can click and drag on the morph label. To change between vowels, you can scroll through the formant selectors. Talkie is a simple, but elegant piece of software, which isn’t necessary at all times, but can be a fun way to add new color and texture to sounds. 

OVERVIEW

  1.  The Gooey Icon: When hovering the mouse over the icon, a tooltip will appear, which will provide the version number of the product. When clicking on the Gooey icon, the plugin will be bypassed. To indicate it is bypassed, the icon will change color, and a tooltip will appear.
  2. Preset Save Icon: Click to save a preset. Presets will be stored in a local user file folder.
  3. Preset Menu: click to see the full list of saved presets. Note: Press Ctrl+z to undo and Ctrl+y to redo.
  4. Preset Scroll Buttons: click to scroll through the list of presets.
  5. Footer: displays hints on how the plug-in operates.
  6. Wavevisualizer: provides an accurate view of the formant filter’s frequency response.
  7. Morph: click and drag to modulate and morph formant vowels.
  8. Formant Selection: Set the formant mode to output different formants.
