TALKIE

INTRODUCTION:

Despite its simple design, Talkie by Gooey Audio has a lot to offer creatively. The plug-in uses carefully tuned formant filters to articulate vowel-like sounds that can smoothly morph between different vocal shapes.

To morph between vowels, simply click and drag on the Morph label. To switch vowel types entirely, scroll through the formant selectors. This streamlined workflow makes Talkie quick and intuitive to use while still offering expressive tonal movement.

Talkie is a simple yet elegant piece of software. It may not be something needed on every track, but it can be a fun and effective way to introduce new color, movement, and texture into sounds.
